Acadence operates Acadence and is the controller of your personal data. If you have any questions, contact us at privacy@acadence.app. Acadence is provided from the Federal Republic of Germany.

What we collect and why

• Account data (email, hashed password, sign-in method): to create and operate your account. Legal basis: contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Study data (plans, check-ins, focus sessions, review progress, learning profile): to provide the service you asked for. Legal basis: contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Billing data: processed by our payment provider Stripe. We store only subscription status and billing periods, not card details. Legal basis: contract.
• Optional analytics: anonymous funnel events (PostHog, EU region). This is on by default; you can disable it at any time by emailing privacy@acadence.app. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Emails (reminders, verification, support messages) are sent through Resend. Legal basis: contract or legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

How long we keep data

Account and study data are kept while your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is permanently deleted. Session tokens expire automatically. We do not sell your personal data.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, receive it in a portable format, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent.

• Download your data: email privacy@acadence.app and we'll send you a machine-readable copy of your data.
• Delete your account: Settings → "Delete Account".
• Withdraw analytics consent: email privacy@acadence.app and we'll apply it from your next session.
• For anything else, email privacy@acadence.app. We respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

Processors / third parties

We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our behalf under a data processing agreement: Stripe (payments), PostHog (optional analytics, EU region), Resend (email), and our hosting providers. Where applicable, data is processed in the EEA or with appropriate safeguards (e.g., EU Standard Contractual Clauses).
